Kelly - Painting 65

In the little time I was home in July, much of my free time was spent photographing turtles along the banks of the Great Miami river for a friend who is writing a book about them. Turtles are wary little beasts and sink beneath the water at the slightest sound (making it very hard to photograph them). I decided to paint one...much easier! (I used my memory and a blurry photo as reference...)

  1. This is fabulous Kelly. It reminds me of my little turtle in my pond outside (different variety of course). How fun to find this painting. I love the variations in the water - including highlights!
