When I took this challenge for the second year I thought I would narrow my painting down to focus only on portraits. It worked well for the first few pictures, but I soon realised that the restriction was becoming counter productive. I have a busy life schedule and the challenge for me really is to paint regularly. Besides I am still learning to paint with water coliurs, and restricting myself to a single subject doesn't really help my painting. So having discussed this with Laure who agreed with me as well, I am back in the challenge, but my paintings will not be restricted in its subject matter, but will keep to the original objective of paint, paint and paint!
...watery and beautiful, Brinda. I love the colors in the 3rd and 4th.
ReplyDeleteBrinda these are so appealing! Energy, color, ease... I love the places the objects have run a little into each other. Such joyful work!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to see you back. Sometimes it is such a good idea to step back and take a new direction (or back to an old one in this case). I think you'll grow more giving yourself this freedom.
ReplyDeleteI look at these I feel you are learning the joys of watercolors. Your paint is doing such nice things ... especiall the reflections in the first one, the vase, and I love all the paint in the third one.
Thanks Kelly, Lorrie and Elva. Its good to be back in the challenge!
