Love the blue here, Claire, and the texture on the bedspread. This would be a wonderful place to relax and plan the next day. Your little suitcase is so charming~~
I thought the very same thing--love the blue and relaxed atmosphere but the addition of the suitcase is perfect!! It lets us know right away that this is a hotel room.
Wow, Claire!! You have been busy. Four paintings in a row, and I love them all. The courtyard is one of my favorites, along with the wheelbarrow in Monet's garden--so peaceful and summery.
I used my artistic license to change the colors. The photo reference was a beautiful burgundy... but having just painted the 2 red chairs I decided to go for something towards French Blue -- although this isn't quite the right shade. But it was fun switching it up anyway.
