Summer Harvest #23 Dora Sislian Themelis

#23 Summer Harvest 11x14 Watercolor on Arches

I'm still in the game, all! After picking up my farm share last week I arranged the items and took some photos for my blog. I know I've been whining about painting badly from photos so I decided my direction might be pushing the photo envelope. A challenge to myself to try to see and paint the way I do from life. A throw down so to speak. Have at it fellow challengers.

  1. Wow, so much more interesting then the photo! I love the colors and the movement.

  2. I have to admit to some pretty serious farm share envy as we are still on beet greens, chard, lettuce and snow peas. Nice bush pan patty, , blossom end comes forward, nice cool shadows.

  3. Thanks Liz! Tell me what to do with that gourd, I had no idea what it was! LOL

  4. Love the interplay of colors on those beets and squash, and the light breezy colors on the onions. You've made each green/yellow unique, too! You have made me hungry!! (I'm a vegetarian, so all the more.)

  5. One of my favorites, sauteed or steamed, they are are a buttery summer squash.
