Three Beach Shells #33 Dora Sislian Themelis

# 33 Three Beach Shells (c)DST 8x12 Watercolor
Painted in twenty minutes again, these beach shells were out an available and if I wasted the time I would not have painted at all. Twenty minutes and I was done. Learning to use less water on my brush if I'm going to paint quickly and it's been working out well.

I always love the way you build up texture with watercolor on shells. The lines on the middle shell are especially interesting.

Thanks guys! It's hard to get things the way I want, but in twenty minutes I can try and get the idea of the objects in a pleasing way.

I like the contrast and all the colors you see in the shells. I am inspired by you, actually brought some inside to paint. Now I apperciate yours even more.

great painting for 20 minutes!! I like the details captured in coloring of the shells - probably the use of less water as you said.

Thank you! I try to add different colors than what I see to give the shells a little more life and make the painting come alive.
