Kelly - Painting #32 - Prothonotary Warbler on the Little Miami River

Painting 32, Prothonotary Warbler on the Little Miami River

I saw this fellow last Thursday on the Little Miami River trail. He was tucked deep in shadow, but his beautiful yellow-orange feathers could not be dimmed. He caught my eye as the perched in a tree near the river.

This is such a beautiful little bird, Kelly! I love the way your have painted it in a way that takes my eye right to his sweet face (if that makes sense). I especially like the shading and reflections on his belly~~just gorgeous!

Absolutely beautiful presentation of your experience with this lovely warbler. I heard of a local sighting last week and went for a walk along the river trail it was seen on. I wasn't lucky enough to find it that day. Today I was lucky ... :) Beautiful!
