Kelly - Painting 98 & 99

Friday Matty and I headed out to the woods to enjoy autumn's last hurrah! The temps were in the sixties, and we knew it wasn't going to last. We were lucky to see a small flock of Bonaparte's Gulls fishing in the lake...

Beautiful Kelly! I'm hoping to learn to paint good, simple watercolor birds. Yours have so much life.

And I see you are about to finish the challenge. Congratulations.

I agree with what has been said. Your watercolor technique in these paintings makes the birds seem fresh and alive. Really nice. I wonder what your last painting will be...

I agree! Really fresh paintings. And I think the writing adds something to the composition as well. It all works together!

Hi Kelly ... me again. I have to weigh in and say I would be wonderful if you rejoined. I hate to be coming just as you are leaving. I know you've done the challenge twice already, but think how much you've learned and what a great motivator it is!

...thanks, everyone!! I love letting the watercolor flow where it wants. When i'm in the field, everything is so much more spontaneous!
(Elva.....I might do it again. Thanks!! I'd love to go through the challenge with you again!)
