Lorrie #43 - Humanmade, Naturemade

Humanmade, Naturemade, watercolor 5 x 7 inches
Something that grabs my attention a lot is the juxtaposition between nature's forms and those that humans have contrived. These cement, hard-edged buildings were softened by huge geraniums, and between the buildings was the promise of graceful trees and a hidden garden.

This is beautiful.

...it's beautiful, Lorrie. I especially like how you captured the geraniums.

How poetic this sounds, and what a wonderful picture to capture the moment!

I love the contrasts, not only in the shapes and subject. But in temperature; cool greens in the stone and warmer greens in the background., it sets up an interesting compositional pull.
