Fall on the slopes of Mt. Mazama #42

Another fall scene inspired by our trip to Crater Lake, a.k.a. Mt Mazama. The reds and golds come from low lying bushes and forbes that grow high on the slopes of the mountain. Fall is my favorite time of year to go to Crater Lake.

Strathmore 400 Series, 140# cold Press watercolor paper.

...so beautiful Elva, serene. I love the way you've made the pines recede.

yes, wonderful perspective. I love those lines of trees at different distances, and the "fire" of autumn foliage.
