Lorrie #82 - Cowboy

Cowboy, watercolor 7 x 9 inches
Sometimes I paint with just two colors, to keep it simple and practice darks and lights. This was done in cobalt blue and burnt sienna. I was working from a black-and-white photo from an old book about Yosemite.

Love this type of work, Lorrie! Beautifully done. Good balance between the warms and cools.

Makes me want to try just two colors .... Very artistic and wonderful light.

You do a good job keeping the integrity of the two colors, making sure they stand on their own and mixed together. It gives a great sense of space.
