# 97 The house in the mountains

I cant believe I'm on picture number 97!
This is from a reference picture I took during our trek into the Himalayas. I loved the lights and shadows that were cast in the early morning light and the amazing greens.

This is beautiful. You capture a moodiness with the light and shadow. Such nice violet shadow colors too. Makes me wish that I were there...

...lovely, Brinda. I like the perspective and the shadow. My favorite of all you paintings so far...and you're almost to 100!

It is beautiful. I like the balance of "busy" darker areas and light calm areas. I love the views you share from the other side of the wiorld.

Brinda, you take us to such interesting places! It's as though we hiked up a steep hill and "we're almost there!" Oooh, kinda like you and the 100th Painting! The diverse textures of the foliage is so interesting, and I applaud how you did that without detailing every leaf and branch and trunk. This, painting, like many others you have done from photos you have taken, shows what a good eye you have for and interesting composition and subject. Perhaps you would do the Challenge again in another medium so we can enjoy your pictures still?
