Golden-crowned Kinglet #24

This little painting looks a lot like my #16. Same subject, but different paper and different approach. I was hoping by being very careful I might have something I like better. I like both, but for different reasons.

Painted of Bee Paper's Aquabee Duper Deluxe 93# sketchbook paper.I like this paper for a reasonably priced watercolor paper that takes both ink and watercolor well. This painting is pencil and watercolor.

Love it, love it, love it!!! One of my favorite birds. You've really captured that spritely energy they have. I also love the lichens showing on the branches...

I almost expect this little bird to come right to my window - wonderful!

I really like this detailed version Elva. I like how you got the fine textures of the lichen and feathers (especially on his crown) and still captured a forest winter day setting with the background wash.
