Claire painting 4: Clementines in my backyard

I thought I better capture a few of these Clementines from our dwarf tree in the backyard before we pick them and forget that we had some. I think this is the first real (although small) harvest since we planted it 10 years ago when my youngest was in 2nd grade. His teacher introduced us to Clementines and my little guy was smitten right away.

Wow you are so lucky to have clementines in your back yard, how cool, even if it took some years. Nice work with the leaves on the tree. You kept this image simple and elegant.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried to give an illusion of some leaves in the muted background where I left some green (and yellow).

....sooo orange and happy! I love the sunshiny feel of this one (especially as I sit here putting on a flannel shirt to stay warm!).
