Kristin, 58-60 Out the window again

This is what has been coming out of my pseudo-daily sketching routine; moving outside the bird box. I have been noticing things outside and quickly sit down to sketch them, or I try to remember which colors and shapes I like about what I saw and then work from memory. The first one below I did from life,  out the window (it is way too cold for me to paint outside right now). In the second I was trying to rework the first to get more color, but I actually think I like the first one better maybe because it has more texture. Then the last on is from my walk home the other night. I actually painted it a couple days after I saw it, so maybe I forgot the details. I did a wash and then used gouache on top.

...all that beautiful snow! You've definitely captured the cold, crisp feeling after a heavy snow. I like the way you did the border on the last painting. I'd like to try something like that.

Wow,I like each one for different reasons. The pinks in the middle one is exciting. There is mystery in the last one... those suggested tree limbs.

I think the middle one a little better than the top one -- I look way into the painting. .... and I like the Cold night feel of the bottom one

Definitely looks cold outside for all of them. My favorite might be the last one, but they are all nice.
