Blood Oranges on Silver Tray- #43 Sheryl Hawkins

I found out about Blood Oranges on a trip to Italy.  They are wonderful, but not available for very long.  They are in the stores now and we are buying them whenever we go- the color is beautiful and they taste great.  I am still working on reflections, hence the silver tray.  I used some of the pattern of the tray to separate the oranges from the reflected oranges, but tried to keep from putting in all of the pattern- just enough to hopefully show the different surface.

Lovely colors. Reflections are very good too.

Yum yum, so delightfully colorful and texture-ful Cheri! Perfection in the fruits as well as their reflections, and that wonderful, intricate scroll pattern on the tray! In the cut orange, you even have depicted, within that orange's reflection, the highlight from the tray that shines off the underside of the orange (did that make sense)! Again I say, YUM!!

I'm amazed at the realness you've captured -- the play of light on the fresh fruit and the light, shadows, and shine of the silver tray. Very beautiful piece! Texture in the tray looks great too.
