Liz Cutler #12 Sisters number two , Watercolor, 12x 16





By painting this scene again (see my # 5 using oil), painting in watercolor I hoped to be more decisive in choosing colors, and the shapes of the tones. Hah, I salute you watercolorists. I felt the color of mud lurks on my palette, waiting.

Mud does have a way of lurking on my palette, too. This is good color use.

wow....I went back to find the oil painting...what a difference. I love them both. This looks pretty luminous to me. I don't see a lot of mud! :-)
