#4 - Cheri Homaee - Dance II

This is one of the images I did for my portfolio. This is charcoal on paper 19 x 24. Love working in charcoal, it just sooooo messy. I enjoy dancing and especially ballet. I do photos for some of the local ballet companies.

It is hard to imagine charcoal as having a shimmering quality , but you have done it. It is stunning.

Cheri- this is beautiful- I haven't worked in charcoal since college (more than a few years ago) - you did this so well, and I especially love the reflections!

I really like the shadows and highlights that you have captured. The shoes have an amazing 'shine' to them. It looks like a black and white photo. Wonderful piece!

Beautiful. It almost looks like a lovely old photograph. I had no idea charcoal could do that.

Quite stunning, Cheri! I think the reflections send this over the top!

I gave up charcoal because of the mess—this is almost enough to make me try again!
