Roundhouse - Krista

Painting #8

This is the train roundhouse my son loves to visit at Greenfield Village.  I was drawn to the shadows on the side of the building.  It is still an active roundhouse, housing trains, repairing trains and turning trains around on the circle track at the "end of the line".

...I went to Greenfield Village when I was a kid. I LOVED it! I remember this roundhouse--just like on Thomas the Tank Engine! ;-) Beautiful capture....with you perspective you really nailed the curving walls.

You made this building look so interesting, I want to go see it. Really nice job on a difficult subject.

This is really charming, Krista. Super job on the perspective and the shadows. I am really enjoying the historical tidbits you are including with your paintings. I'm with Teri, I would love to see this place ; ).

Nice brick work and I especially like the darks on the far doors/windows on the left. Good job!
